Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This website, digital-economics.io, is run by Digital Economics LLC, a limited liability company organized in Florida. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Digital Economics LLC.
This policy covers what happens to your information when you visit digital-economics.io or send us a message through it. It does not cover the websites of our companies, EcoGen America, The Roof Rev System and Case Clicks. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy. EcoGen America collects requests from homeowners and passes them to solar installers, and its practices are described in EcoGen America’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab), not here.
If you have a question about this policy or your information, email us at admin@digital-economics.io.
Our mailing address is 12675 Kentwood Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
When you send a message through our contact form, we collect:
- the topic you choose;
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number, if you choose to give it (it is optional);
- your message, and anything you choose to include in it.
Please do not include sensitive information in your message, such as a Social Security number, financial account details or health information. We do not ask for it and do not need it to reply.
The form also has a hidden field that people cannot see. It exists to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, we discard the message.
Information collected automatically
This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It sets no cookies of its own and does not store anything in your browser.
Some information is processed automatically because of how the site is delivered and protected:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this site, processes the technical details of every request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. This is how any website is delivered and defended against attacks. We do not keep request logs of our own.
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the contact page only. It checks that a person, not an automated program, is sending the message. To do that it looks at your IP address and signals from your browser. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not read the contents of the form.
- Our spam limit. To stop one sender from flooding the form, we count messages from each IP address for 10 minutes. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address, and the count is deleted automatically after 10 minutes.
- Cloudflare security cookies. If Cloudflare suspects automated traffic, it may place a short-lived security cookie (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) in your browser. These are strictly necessary to protect the site and are not used for advertising.
We do not use Do Not Track or similar browser signals to change what we collect, because we do not track you across websites in the first place. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal, as described in section 8.
Our private area
Part of this site is a private area for a small number of people we have authorized, such as our owners and partners. It is not open to the public. To sign in, an authorized person enters their email address and receives a one-time code by email, sent by Cloudflare Access. Cloudflare Access records the sign-in (the email address, the time and the IP address) and places a sign-in cookie that lasts up to 24 hours. If you are not on the list of authorized people, you cannot sign in, and we do not use the email address you typed for anything else.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- read your message and reply to it;
- pass your message to the right person inside our company, based on the topic you chose;
- keep a record of our conversation with you;
- protect the site and the form from spam, fraud and abuse;
- comply with the law and protect our legal rights.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not add you to a marketing list, send you newsletters, or sell or rent your information. We do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
If you later become a client, a lead buyer or a partner, the agreement we sign with you covers how we handle the information you give us from then on.
4. Phone numbers, calls and texts
Giving us a phone number is optional. If you give us one, we use it only to reply to the message you sent. We will not add it to any calling or texting list, we will not send you marketing texts, and we will not call it using an automatic dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice. Giving us a phone number is not a condition of buying anything from us.
5. Who receives your information
We share your information only with the following:
- Service providers that run parts of this site and our email for us, under contracts that limit how they may use the information:
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the site, protects it (including Turnstile and the private area’s sign-in) and runs the form;
- Google LLC, which provides our company email (Google Workspace). The form sends your message through Gmail to our mailbox, where it is received and kept.
- Authorities or others, when the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid court order, or when needed to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- A buyer of our business, if Digital Economics LLC or this website is sold or merged. The buyer would have to handle your information as this policy describes.
We do not sell your personal information collected through this site, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising). We have not done so in the past 12 months.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact messages (the topic, your name, email, phone and message): 36 months after our last exchange with you, unless you become a client, lead buyer or partner, in which case we keep it for as long as that relationship lasts and as long as the law or our records require after it. After that, we delete it.
- The copy our email keeps when the form sends: the form sends your message through Google Workspace (Gmail), which keeps a copy in the sending mailbox. We keep and delete that copy on the same schedule as contact messages.
- The spam limit counter: 10 minutes, then deleted automatically.
- Request data processed by Cloudflare: we do not export or keep it. Cloudflare keeps it for the short periods its own policies set.
- Private area sign-ins: kept in our Cloudflare account for as long as Cloudflare keeps sign-in records.
- Messages sent through the earlier version of this website, before it was rebuilt in 2026: that site’s form software stored them. We are deleting those copies when that site is retired in 2026. We do not keep a copy.
If you ask us to delete your information before these periods end, we will, as described in section 8, unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The contact form checks every message before sending it, rejects automated submissions, and does not write your name, email, phone number, message or IP address to our logs. The private area is behind a sign-in limited to named people. Access to our mailboxes and systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that information sent over the internet will never be intercepted. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and whom we shared it with;
- get a copy of your personal information, in a portable format;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your personal information;
- opt out of the sale of your personal information, of its sharing for targeted advertising, and of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information;
- appeal if we turn down your request.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and other states with privacy laws have some or all of these rights. We give every visitor the same rights, wherever they live.
Because this site does not sell or share personal information, collect sensitive personal information, or profile anyone, there is nothing to opt out of or limit here. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, and it is honored automatically: this site does neither.
How to make a request
Email admin@digital-economics.io and tell us what you want us to do. We will:
- confirm that we received your request within 10 business days;
- check that the request comes from you, usually by matching the email address you write from with the one in our records, and we may ask for a detail from your original message;
- answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days.
You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof that you gave permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
We will not charge you, deny you service or treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Appeals
If we decline your request, in whole or in part, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word “Appeal” in the subject line, or by emailing admin@digital-economics.io. We will answer your appeal in writing within 60 days and explain our decision. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the attorney general of your state.
What we collected in the past 12 months (California disclosure)
In the past 12 months, through this site, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines them:
- Identifiers: your name, email address, phone number (if given) and IP address. Source: you, and your browser. Purpose: replying to you, and security. Disclosed to: our service providers in section 5.
- Internet or other electronic network activity: the technical details of your requests and the browser signals Turnstile reads. Source: your browser. Purpose: delivering and protecting the site. Disclosed to: Cloudflare.
- Professional or employment information, only if you include it in your message (for example, the name of your business). Source: you. Purpose: replying to you. Disclosed to: our service providers in section 5.
We did not sell or share any of these categories, and we did not collect sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
9. Children
This site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email admin@digital-economics.io and we will delete it.
10. Artificial intelligence
We do not collect, use or sell personal information from this site to train large language models or other artificial intelligence models.
11. Where your information is processed
We are based in the United States. Cloudflare delivers this site from data centers around the world, so your request may be processed outside your country. Our email is stored by Google in the United States and other countries where it operates.
12. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever the site changes what it collects. The date at the top shows the month and year of the latest version. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will post the change here before it takes effect.
